Since 1997 BUPIM has been working on structural engineering projects, consulting and earthquake retrofitting and especially expert on industrial structures, special structures as well as structural and earthquake engineering. BUPIM is an international firm that gives highest priority to quality and customer satisfaction, while it is continuing its goal of taking an important place on structural project, construction and supervision areas on the national and international markets. Also earthquake retrofitting of the structures is our main expertise. For this reason highly motivated and determined staff of BUPIM is improved by means of vocational skills and experience through continuous education. BUPIM has ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Certificate.

Main activities of the company are Earthquake Resistance Structures, Tall Buildings, Steel Structures, Bridges, Tunnels, Treatment Plans and Industrial Structures; Supervision and Retrofitting Construction of Building and Bridges; Geological Studies and Foundation Designs.

Our firm has taken part in many international special project partnerships with American, European and Japanese worldwide firms. In recent years our firm has completed many industrial facility and high-rise structure projects in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Algeria and Dubai.

Our firm has prepared earthquake safety investigation, seismic performance evaluation and earthquake retrofitting projects of important government and private buildings such as hospitals, schools, government residences, factories and service buildings. According to the situation of the existing structure different retrofitting methods are applied. The methods that are used as follows: reinforced concrete retrofitting, retrofitting with steel plates, structural system strengthening by steel braces, retrofitting with Fiber Reinforced Polyethylene (FRP), foundation strengthening, base isolation, soil improvement, external structural system retrofitting. Our firm has applying with new retrofitting methods working outside of the buildings without distruption of building service during retrofitting works.

BUPİM is also expert on retrofitting construction of foundations, buildings and bridges with steel, reinforced concrete and other materials such as FRP.

Our Research and Development Department has been working on new retrofitting techniques, retrofitting materials, rapid damage and seismic performance evaluation works. On these research topics we have been applied for Leonardo Da Vinci (LdV) Project. Our partners are Greek and Bulgarian firms but our sharing is opened to other European companies to work together.
